Mountains Beyond Mountains, a train of thought.
I’ve had the Arcade Fire’s Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) on repeat for DAYS. It’s stunning.

An interesting, short article about brains actually being on the same wavelength, so to speak.
People in a real conversation, making a connection, actually experience some identical brain activities.
It has some pretty interesting implications to improv, especially in terms of warming up before a show. Almost scientific proof as to why you need to try to listen and engage in order...

If you are all enjoying Mad Men’s recent plot, you may like Malcolm Gladwell’s rip roaring article about the advertising agency Sterling Cooper Draper & Pryce is based on.
I read this in the book What the Dog Saw a while ago, and realized in geeky ecstasy that Mad Men was modeling itself after this story as last season ended. Amazing.

The second part of that, though, is he went out and did it. Like whoa. He subjected himself to science experiments to make money to make his movie. No excuses.

Our Scotland excursion has been simply splendid. This country is beautiful and feels like home, and we met some wonderful people. I’m already looking forward to the next time I come here. (via jmmbb)

ohhh New England.
Last night I was awoken by a bat in my attic bedroom at my family’s olde New England home. I moved to the sofa in the living room, don’t want rabies.

Lately I’ve had some good conversations and revelations with some strong women late at night on phones and in cars and on floors.
At one point Jax said, in regards to who’d win in a fight, me or Maryanna: “I feel like Mercy could take you on, but I feel like Maryanna would fight dirty”. That’s what I’m talking about.
