I’m Mercy (short for Maria Mercedes Burkhalter Bell). I’m a folk musician. I grew up in California and Massachusetts. Now based in Brooklyn. I studied history at Umass Dartmouth, am a vegetarian, dig photography and coffee. I’ve spent a significant amount of time organizing for groups like Amnesty International and Oxfam America.
